Heath Duntz (better known as Boy in the Corner Studio) - Though he’s been full time in the art scene for about 10 yrs he only started specializing in toy art about 3 years ago. This piece is a custom Huck Gee 4" cheeky monkey , and custom sculpted base. Titled "White chapel" the figures knife has a real bone handle, and the base is sculpted on real granite.
Azrael Darknut - An artist with a love for Japanese pop culture., his work is inspired by Japanese superheroes like Kamen Rider, as well as Kaiju films. He hopes to have his own manga or comic book series one day so what better place to exhibit his work.
@jaykblu - An artist of very little words Jaykblu lets his art speak for himself, and that art says a lot.
@stklbck - A skeletor sympathizer who was washed up on the south coast in the 80's and raised on poptarts, ginger beer and cartoons.
Gunnar Gerhardt, aka A SICKOPHANT PRODUCTION - This artist created a fictious corporation & design/story think tank dedicated to invent and make the most curious 3.75” action figure & vehicle customs based on the alternative history of Acid Rain World (Kit Lau).
Daz Hyland - This modern day artistic Dr. Frankenstein can be often found scouring the toy graveyards to come up with his next creation.
Billy Chainsaw Houlston - Not a toy artist by usual medium Mr. Chainsaw is creating a custom piece inspired by old aurora horror model kits just for this exhibition.
Shane Conway - Originally from America Shane created Destroy and Rebuild Customs in England just over a year ago.
Laura Penn - She describes her custom figures as “fun and playful” and with eyes on opening a toy art shop the creativity has only just begun.
@keepsad - Ben Sad is an artist driven by process and a need to create and find ways to communicate on a large scale between the interactions that he has with other Artists.
Frederik Törnqvist - I found this artist very interesting because his specialty is custom clothing for custom toys.
Morgan Seiler (aka @thewondercatx ) - When asked what she does Morgan simply replied
“I make weird chubby things with teeth and works off the left third of a desk in brooklyn.”
All these descriptions were taken from the Brand B masks instagram page where you can keep up to date with more announcements of the artists and some examples of their work.
This is just a small selection of the artists and sculptors involved as they have not yet all been announced. Be sure to pencil the dates in your diary and to pop on down to Orbital Comics to check out their awesome range of vintage to brand new comics, graphic novels, anime and of course...toys.
